President Luis Abinader was present for the first day of the high-level general debate on Tuesday, 21 September 2021 of the 76th UN General Assembly. The debates are taking place through 27 September. President Abinader is scheduled to speak 12th during the Wednesday, 22 September session.
President Luis Abinader is attending the UN General Assembly accompanied by Foreign Relations Minister Roberto Alvarez; Administrative Minister of the Presidency Jose Ignacio Paliza, and Dominican ambassador to the United Nations, Jose Blanco.
The 76th Assembly began with remarks by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Brazilian President Jaír Bolsonaro and US President Joe Biden.
