Danilo Medina returns from Florida; tweets he has prostate cancer

Former President Danilo Medina traveled to and from Miami, Florida in a private jet. He left and arrived to the La Isabela International Airport.

As reported in Diario Libre, he was picked up by his chauffeur at the airport. Medina did not say with whom he traveled to Miami. Media photos show him descending alone from the private jet that brought him from Miami. He had traveled by private jet to Miami.

The former President of the Republic (2012-2020) said on his Twitter account upon returning that he has prostate cancer. He explained treatment by medics in the Dominican Republic did not give the expected results so he traveled abroad for new consultations. He said he will return to treat his cancer in the United States.

A charter flight from DR to the US might cost a fortune.
But he can probably get a good discount from his buddy "El Penco" Gonzalo Castillo who is being investigated too.

Medina is a member of the Parlamento Centraoamericano (PARLACEN), the Central America Parliament, and cannot be arrested as long as he is a member.

You referenced FPOTUS #45.
And I can assure you that when he travels in his personal plane it costs the United States taxpayers plenty.
Now, is the security in the Dominican Republic for former presidents the same as in the United States of America?
I do not know.

I have no doubt that all of the four living Presidents have entitlements during and after their terms in office including travel and security arrangements and the fact that Danilo used the services of a private charter firm would be considered no different than if Mejia or Leonel or Abinader needed to have specialist treatment in the USA . None of these people just travel by themselves .
