The 75th anniversary of Dominican journalism (El Caribe) and 25 years of CDN will be celebrated on April 19, 2023 at the Hotel El Embajador (Santo Domingo) with a special conference with the participation of the following.

- Luis Abinader, president of the Dominican Republic
- Mauricio Macri, ex president of Argentina
- Alicia Bárcena, ex general secretary of CEPAL
- Marco Rubio, Republican senator for Florida in the US Senate
- Leonel Fernández, ex president of the Dominican Republic
- Juan Luis Cebrián, honor presidente of El País (most important newspaper in Spain)

Today's Dominican journalism is an oxymoron, akin to jumbo shrimp, military intelligence, and happily married.

Any Dominican with a microphone considers himself a journalist.
