$20 departure tax

Can someone confirm that the $20 departure tax is indeed included in the flight fare when you leave the DR? Or do you have to pay it cash at the airport?

I remember one time when I landed here in 2017 with American Airlines the Dominican authorities made everyone pay a 10 USD entry tax. It was never included in the airline ticket.

The 10USD entry tax (fee for the Tourist Visa) you paid in 2017 is now paid with the airfare. So you don't have to worry about paying that when you arrive.
