You can follow up with him here:

"My 2020 Hurricane Season observations, this year only for Storms/Severe Weather related to DR, are shown on my
Facebook Tours Group under the Topic named
"Hurricane Watch 2020", on:
www.facebook.com/groups/mikefisherpuntacana

I won"t apply though because I do not want to be a member of any FB group at all finding this to be overwhelming getting bombarded with everything the members post there.

Update on TS Gonzalo

Tropical Storm Gonzalo Intermediate Advisory Number 11A
NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL AL072020
800 AM AST Fri Jul 24 2020

...GONZALO FORECAST TO BRING TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS TO THE
SOUTHERN WINDWARD ISLANDS ON SATURDAY...

DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 800 AM AST (1200 UTC), satellite data indicated that the center
of Tropical Storm Gonzalo was located near latitude 10.0 North,
longitude 52.8 West. Gonzalo is moving toward the west near 15 mph
(24 km/h). A westward to west-northwestward motion with an increase
in forward speed is expected through the weekend. On the forecast
track, the center of Gonzalo will approach the southern Windward
Islands tonight and then move across the islands on Saturday and
over the eastern Caribbean Sea on Sunday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher
gusts. Some strengthening is forecast during the next day or two,
and there is still a chance that Gonzalo could become a hurricane
before reaching the Windward Islands. Weakening is expected after
Gonzalo moves into the Caribbean Sea, and the cyclone is expected to
dissipate by the middle of next week.

Gonzalo is a small tropical cyclone. Tropical-storm-force winds
extend outward up to 25 miles (35 km) from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).

Update issued today by National Hurricane Centre.
The Early cycle tracks have moved south but by the time 72 Hrs it is forecast to weaken.

Looks like Sunday Monday we are going to get dumped on pretty severely.

Much needed rain.
it will probably be some tremendous downpours with this thing and nothing worse if the trajectory remains the same. But dios its the last thing the island needs. 2020 is one son of a gun.
The island has been in a drought since November.

It has winds of only 40 mph with higher gusts, forecasters said. Some strengthening is expected during the next day or two, but the storm is expected to weaken after it moves into the Caribbean. The storm is forecast to dissipate by the middle of next week.

Too many damn ads. But you can read here:

Gonzalo is not forecast to come anywhere near the DR(?).

No but keep your eye on the trough that just came off the coast of Africa. That could be an entirely different beast of a storm. It looks well positioned to do a standard run across the Caribbean.

The projected path/course of that outer disturbance is indeed very troubling for us. Especially those along the south eastern tier (Santo Domingo-Punta Cana) where landfall could be made. That may put me on a plane quicker than this Covid business.

Can anybody see what day this might arrive to Hispaniola? This model shows maybe a slight swing more to the north than those above.

Too early to say much at this point I guess.

Invest 92L 2020 Projected Path
NHC forecasters say that the wave is expected to move westward at about 15 mph during the next several days, and a tropical depression could form by early next week when the system reaches the central tropical Atlantic.

If Invest 92L becomes a tropical storm or hurricane, the next name on the 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Names List is Isaias.

Invest 92L has a 70% chance of tropical cyclone formation within the next 5 days and a 20% chance within the next 48 hours.

Invest 92L 2020 Computer Models
Invest 92L 2020 Computer Models, Spaghetti Models
Invest 92L 2020 Computer Models, Spaghetti Models
Spaghetti models are in general agreement that Invest 92L will move in a westerly direction across the tropical Atlantic Ocean then curve to the west-northwest once the system reaches the Caribbean Sea.
