Do you have a timeline you can share Mike for those of us up north. When do you think the wind and the rain will reach the central north coast area?

Here within my newest project in Guayacanes along the shore, I am fortunate to be gathered together with not only my 2 Canadian visitors, but 6 employees and their families as well. All who happen to reside within areas that were previously assaulted by Isaias. We are gathered together for this next TS of the century, through Monday, perhaps.
As of right now, we have ominous dark clouds gathering overhead, with the occasional 10 minute period of calming rain.
No wind. No squalls. No banding rain squalls as of yet. No drama. Just life.
The men are working the parrillada. The women are in the kitchen preparing the sides and extras. My Canadian friends opted to be the camareras for the evening, and are well trained, stocked, and appreciated.
Nothing more, nothing less, from here in Guayacanes along the shore.
Let the music play.

Then a respite.... then the main event will start

Stormcarib.com has a great calculator for exactly that at https://www.stormcarib.com/closest3.htm . For us at the north coast the center will be closest to us around 4:30 - 5am. The heavy strongest rains extend about 100 miles from the center (with a forward speed of about 20mph, that makes torrential rain starting around 12 midnight). Regarding NHC the strongest winds are only in the NE and SE quadrant also give or take 100 miles from the center, so from around 5am - 10am it should get quite windy here. That's at least how I calculate it :)

Linda's Cabarete shower moved through not long ago but that's about it. Looks darker in the distance. hardly a breeze at the moment. Don't get me wrong, I'm not asking for anything different,

Santo Domingo... so silent now after the bout of thunder. Rain off and on.

Thanks for the tip about the storm calculator. Very useful. I have bookmarked it for future use
