The Navy says the boat was not certified.
This is a shame. Tragic.

4 Missing While fishing

Thank you all for posting information on the 4 missing people on the fishing trip. Two are my niece and her husband. I am not in the DR and I appreciate any news you might know. Laura's family is greving. Thank you.

Sorry for your loss, but these were the people on that fateful trip.
Plinio Jacobo, Laura Ricart, Javier Jorge and Roberto Waner Skates.
I guess you meant one niece.

Breaking News

I have been told it is reported that is a murder. These folks were murdered prior to being tossed in the water. Bound and no water in lungs.

USGC C-130 Infrared searches find no other bodies in the water and the thinking is now that Capt Rob and the woman's husband were kidnapped.

Can someone confirm? This was told to me by someone viewing the news this morning.

Hoy is reporting that Laura Ricart had a black shoelace tied around her hand & Javier Jorge's body showed signs of pressure on the left wrist & the process of decomposition had only started some 8 hours earlier. This is terrible news. I saw it on the TV yesterday and the pathologist did say that although they could not comment at the time he did confirm that the lady was indeed tied up and the gentleman had bruises on his wrists and burn marks on his body. Just horrible. My thoughts and prayers go out to everybody involved and would also like to say that I have been impressed by the emergency services involved it this tragic event. They had a heavily armed convoy escorting the ambulance to the morgue and also a media blackout, (although more news has been released by now).
