It's also Canada day, and July 2nd is my B'day, July 3rd is Bruno's B'day, and July 4th, well, everybody knows July 4th.

easy to find Larry, turn up the road opposite Sosua car wash, past the International school - follow the road up the hill and round to the right and you will see the sign for Las Canas which is a turning to the left - see you there....

Are any of the large, charming, & well educated members of the American contingent from Puerto Plata planning to attend? With flags? Muskets? Fireworks? Please advise; it would be nice to organize a group. I doubt that the British would be interested? Thank you.

I am British and interested in everything.... I have my own reasons for celebrating 4th July but that is another story!! Its sort of a person independence day to me (might tell you why one day) but I would be all up for fireworks (as long as they are safely let off with children around), not sure about the muskets and flags but will go will the flow as they say haha

Transport & directions

Las Ca?as does have a shuttle bus, so I imagine that any who can't find their way up or don't have transport, could come to Rocky's and phone for the bus.

Both come to Sosua, I believe, and a taxi from there should be approx. 150 pesos.
If I remember correctly, it's 1 to 8 PM for food.
