On another political note which will be of GREAT interest to many here in Sos?a and throughout the country.

Francisco Dominguez Brito has been replaced as "Procurador General de la Republica" by Jean Alain Rodr?guez.

Dominguez Brito will now be "Ministro de Medio Ambiente".

There were many here "praying" for him to be replaced, they got their wish.

It remains to be seen how hard on hookers Jean Alain Rodr?guez will be.

It remains to be seen his stand on many things.

Dominguez Brito had some "personal" feelings about Sos?a, both people and practices.

Some people are very happy here in Sos?a today, also in Miami and New York, probably more so in Miami.

It may only last a few days, time will tell.

Isn't that guy the Sec. of State & head of CEI-RD?

CEI-RD is involved with foreign investments, correct? Isn't investment the key motivation behind the recent situation on the North Coast?

Might be equally focused on getting the right tourism and investment climate on the NC based upon his past portfolio

Did they get together on what to wear or was that a coincidence?

white is the norm in politics and diplomacy here. all ambassadors presenting credentials to the dominican president need to be dressed in white, for example.

?Qui?n es Jean Alain Rodr?guez, nuevo procurador general de la Rep?blica?

Quite apropos for the current lead headline in Hoy.

Apparently plenty of Dominicans are now asking that very same question.

I did kinda sorta figured that out from the picture of everyone on stage wearing pure white.

Seeing as Ad (Rancho Tipico owner)has taken over City Lights and seems to want to make it the new Rumba, bets on when it gets closed?

And all the same girls. Did somebody say whack-a-mole?

He may think he's got nothing to lose as he's just the manager (no investment). But they may get tired of him and stick him on a plane. What is the owner of City Lights thinking?

Friday August 12 the bar / nightclub CityLights made its new restart. The staff, twenty lovely camarera's (waitresses) nicely dressed in black, with CityLights print awaited the guests. Ad himself took care of the music, of course Dominican bachata's, merengue, salsa's and reggaeton and 70s and 80s hits accompanied with videos on a large screen. At midnight it was pleasantly busy in the bar.

Everybody enjoyed the opening of the renewed bar nightclub with a drink and a dance, some of them with the camarera's. A few times the camarera's even did a dance show on the dancefloor.
The so appreciated cuisine with its special offers, will open this week. So the daily special offers including tasty burritos and tacos are available soon again.
With CityLights the Rancho Tipico atmosphere is not forgotten, but it is very promising.
