And not only at Semana Santa

Then why do 10,000 flock to Sosua during Semana Santa?

To elucidate further.
I am saying that Dominicans of the upper class DO come to Sosua and stay in high end condos throughout the area.
Playa Laguna, Sosua Ocean Village and some of the mentioned properties in Sosua. Of course the poorer primos also stay in properties such as Mary Rose in the lower price range. Most are from Santiago and the North Coast as it would make no sense for people from Santo Domingo to make the journey.
They have plenty to choose from in their area.
And I've yet not seen any Dominicans die of embarrassment, when I gazed upon them in Sosua.
The Cabarete chapter of Dominicans must be of a highly sophisticated breed.
Maybe they are the ones speeding through the red light at Playero (they may be on the way to POP market/pulga), as not to be seen in the proverbial pit of debauchery.

After 1025 posts, you all have been wrong. PC is alive & well because City Lights now has a pizza oven. Lord knows we need a place which serves pizza!

But at least the menu will be expanded with dishes like spaghetti, steak, spareribs & half roasted chicken. I'm still more curious as to how long its going to take to shut it down...

We should have a death poll on it.

And it won't be shut down for hygiene violations.....

The problem is that the powers that be will have to come up with a new excuse to close it down as many operators have got wise to the drug planting, underage planting, false license violations, security scams, pimping allegations, loud noise allegations, nuisance allegations,etc.etc. which they use to close down stuff they want to.

Will be interesting to see what they come up with next. The closing times violation without prior warning is admittedly an excellent one.I would never have thought of that one..

They did once try the 'no dancing without permit' but it didn't work.

Monreal, the French sports bar on the corner is going through a full remodel. He told me today that Turismo has been after him to change his format because of too many putas hanging out in front. He's going after the same model as Boubon St., but is adding 35 televisions. Finally a real sports bar in Sosua. So now, we will have Boubon St., Monreal, Rumba and Dlatinos with all the same bistro format....and Merengue whom will remain a disco.

I was downtown the other night. The desperation from the girls is palpable starting at about 11pm. Nothing like trying to pound back those last couple of beers with a bevy of beauties hanging around ones neck.

One of the problems with Monreal is that it was supposed to be Canadian sports bar and there were no pictures of hockey.

Before I place my bets in this Death Pool, i need to figure out exactly how will the Dominicans justify shutting down a Pizzeria, which just happens to serve Alcohol and have scantily Clad Camareras.

Rancho Tipico served food as well and it was shut down so I don't see why they would not be able to do it with City Lights..
Ad, the owner of CL, told me last week that he feels confident that they will not give him problems now. He made the right arrangements... I am not so sure about that but time will tell
