A Trustworthy Lawyer For Residency Renewal

You're lucky that she retired. I used her for 16 years for my residency and cedula. The past few years were nothing but problems with her. Not sure how she went from being efficient to a nightmare.
YES!
I too have to admit that in recent years she went downhill in the level of quality that she would give in her work. I used her for my residency from the very start in 2009 under recommendations from Marc Beland, the now deceased former owner of Rocky’s in Sosúa, and she was absolutely great back then. But for my last two renewals in 2017 and 2021, she was mediocre. I don’t know what caused her to decline so much.

I've used Guzman Ariza and so have several others here. Renewals are just a matter of uploading some simple forms on line. The hardest part is driving to Santo Domingo just to have your picture and digital fingerprints taken, and going to JCE to get a new cedula. No lawyer needed. Even a caveman can do it.

It being so easy must be due to some very recent changes, correct?
Because before it involved a letter to immigration expressing a desire to renew and finding a guarantor. A guarantor for a Dominican residency application must have the financial means and documentation to support the applicant. A guarantor can be a Dominican or foreign national who is currently resident in the country. The attorney I used used to use herself as the guarantor, at least that’s what she said.
Is all that over now? It’s truly been reduced to something so super easy??

AFAIK, the guarantor used to be required on initial application but was replaced by an insurance policy. Renewals are much easier. Here's the link. Check it out:

It's super easy now. I ended up doing mine because Dolly screwed everything up on the first application and the hospital lost my medical report. I had to redo everything.
