Air Canada Carry-on Fees

As of Jan. 3, Air Canada’s new fare structure will have anyone taking a basic-economy flight within North America — both Canada and the U.S. but also holiday destinations such as Mexico and the Caribbean — pay C$35 (US$25) for a first carry-on bag and C$50 (US$36) for a second.

Not many, WestJet which gives me up to four check in bags free because I am a Vet. Four doesn't apply to their small aircraft, obviously, but I still get free check in bags.

The issue here is charging for carry-on bags though. Thumbs-up to a fellow vet!

the people who want to fly for next to nothing are responsible for these extra fees, I'd pay 4X what I pay now to put the Spirit/SWA/Frontier/Allegiant/ARAjet backpackers and their screaming children back where they belong, in the Greyhound Bus Terminal
