How do you know they will be using them to look down? Maybe they're being used to scan and intercept other aircraft enter Dominican airspace.

The only airshow I ever attended in DR was the infamous Leonel Fernández - Super Tucan deal on the malecón. At first, it appeared an impressive display of aviation skill, only later to discover they were contracted pilots 🤷‍♂️

Speaking of the Dominican Air Force, they commemorated the day of its patron saint, Ntra Sra del Carmen (Our Lady of Carmel). Her day is July 16.
