Set your Amazon address to your DR address. Then look for something you want It will either be a free delivery, show a delivery charge or say that item cannot be sent to the DR. Unfortunately they have not yet figure out how to show only items that can be sent to the DR and there is no rhyme nor reason I can see as to why some items can be and others can't be sent. Same company makes it, just a different model for example and the results are different.

If you are an Amazon Prime member I have been assured that no matter what the delivery charge is, Amazon will refund it when you get the package.

Not so.

TEMU is starting to sell items of better quality. My mother purchased a leg messager for her calf muscle aong with an ankle brace from TEMU and both were well-made using quality materials. She's been using it twice a day since August of last year with zero problems. Same can be said about a few items I ordered from them late last year as well.

I joke with mom about it all the time, Uyghurs were excellent craftsmen and with so many of them now "employed" in China's manufacturing sector their overall quality in production has seen notable improvements.

I just checked, TEMU, whom I have yet to order from, and found services for delivery to the DR directly are unavailable, so TEMU does not even fit into the direct delivery to the DR for any items they sell. At least Amazon sends some here to the DR for free.

Update of free amazon shipping ,,,,

I decided to try it, sorta out of curiosity and maybe save a few dollars.

First a few caveats:

1.) For free shipping it must be of $50.00 AND available for shipping to the DR (hint, change your address to DR and then Amazon will display what is available when you search for a product)
2.) NOT all products are available for free shipping even thought they can be sent here. Example I ordered two boggie boards from different companies that were available to be sent here, one was free and the other was double the price with shipping, I just deleted it from the cart.
3). I also ordered a small item to add to my cart, so two vendors in my order of $68.95 total, all free shipping.

Amazon gave me the arrival dates but now the fun begins ….

The biggie board (big box) was even delivered early to my house, they left it at security with my permission asked in advanced by DHL. Great experience

Now the small package a different story. I was called by two different companies that was package was there (even sent a photo). Said it was at Caribe tours and would deliver. Next day another company called me and said the same, but no delivery. Yesterday a third phone call saying my package was at Caribe Tours at Charmico. Ok. I sent a employee to pick it up (had my ID) and it was not at Caribe tour BUT on the street above ) really . Seems this was Sosua day from main office (thema) and MANY packages waiting laid out on the street with a girl in charge above Caribe tour. Hmmmmmm. I had a four hour window to pick up And no home delivery as promised.

So In conclusion I got my packages and it worked (and free) but small items are treated different from a big box or for some reason DHL only handles certain orders?? There is lots of moving parts here, from the order to the delivery but I’d do it again BUT not for really important stuff, I’d still use then CPS.

While I was ordering and confirming from Amazon. I contacted Amazon support 3 times. During each call I asked about shipping items that were not free to ship.

I was told each of those three times that because I was a PRIME member ANY AND ALL SHIPPING CHARGES to the DR would be refunded. I have not tested that out.

I was so thrilled with the courier-less delivery, that I went on a shopping spree. Let me rephrase that: I TRIED to go on a shopping spree. What I ran into is the significant number of products that cannot be shipped directly to the DR. And the other thing that is slightly odd is that the items that were all in one Amazon/DR order are all arriving one by one. I'm on a first name basis with the DHL guy.

When you place an order for multiple items they shipping locations are separated by order numbers.

NO................But they do ship almost all their goods free to the US address for the shippers.............Next time you want to buy something from Amazon check the same item on Ebay. You might be surprised.............

PeterJ was unhappy with Amazon because his item didn't ship for free to the DR, so he switch to eBay(?). i buy a lot from both eBay and Amazon. Yes, some items are cheaper on eBay. However, if you're buying from Amazon and they have the items in stock(no third party items), you'll save on csrrier shipping if they all come in the same package.
