The video mentioned copy of cedula when adding the DR address...did you need to do that? And yes, he gave enough examples of how the shipping and customs does differ among items.I looked at a few products to deliver to my door from Amazon. Shipping was $40 for a $44 item. It was $88 shipping if I ordered 2 of them. Conversely, free shipping to Miami and $6 shipping to Domex or EncargoPaq. Plus, a month or so direct from Amazon vs 4 days to Miami and then here. It may differ from item to item, but it doesn't seem to be worth it.
It could happen, most of my Amazon orders have free shipping to my home in Colombia. And quickly,5 days usually.I hope I am wrong, but free Amazon shipping to the DR.
Not likely.
I never got to that point, although I can't imagine Amazon caring about a cedula or not. Friends have gotten deliveries to their door from Amazon and are not residents, but I haven't asked them about shipping fees. The video mentioned copy of cedula when adding the DR address...did you need to do that? One of the most useful things about couriers is the management of taxes. In my experience, their main priority is speed and they've never charged me taxes.I looked at a few products to deliver to my door from Amazon. Shipping was $40 for a $44 item. Looks like you have to provide either a passport or cedula number, as well as upload a copy, if actually placing an order to be shipped by to the DR. From what I can see, the stuff I normally order is either not available or the shipping fee is very high. If I were going to order an item over that $200 limit, I might check to see if it's better this way. I still wonder how exactly an order would get to my door.I never got to that point, although I can't imagine Amazon caring about a cedula or not. I watched the video, nothing of the actual shipping as far as I can see, and even though Amazon says that those are the taxes for items over $200, I would be interested in asking Amazon directly, do they have contacts with the DR customs, or a customs broker or how do they guarantee smooth operation the way the couriers do. As far as I have understood, the couriers do state the fees they charge for handling customs, but not what the customs charge, while Amazon does exactly this.If I were going to order an item over that $200 limit, I might check to see if it's better this way. Let's try with one of those items the guy in the video showed, that costs 2500 USD:.. I would really be curious if the total after shipping and aduanas and everything really is what Amazon supposedly is saying it will be. I will not volunteer, but perhaps someone will...I would like to bet money that if one person orders something from Amazon direct to the DR.and another orders the same thing with either Domex or EPS that the one with Amazon will be screwed............
As WC Fields said, there is a sucker born every minute.Let's try with one of those items the guy in the video showed, that costs 2500 USD:.. Temu is trash products junk . just my opinion not personalI have been getting things with Temu and had them shipped the Miami courier method. Works fine. They also deliver to DR....I was told through one of the couriors they have you register with. The pricing on the same product you buy on the USA site is cheaper to purchase and have it shipped than to buy on the DR site and get "free" shipping
