you must admit, cobraboy, that Tooz was a character, rest his soul. just the kind that the raiders are famous for. i mean, just look at the way Al Davis used to dress.

No doubt. I could tell some stories before John was The Tooz...I roomed with him during two-a-days in college one year. I'm lucky to have survived.

My younger brother is a brain cancer specialist, and while he was with the Donner Labs in Berkeley, he saw Lyle to see if there was any possible treatment for his issue. Unforthuntely, there was none. For game time call 809-564-6282 and ask Ross for it. If he does not have the time ask him for the # of Moises in Santiago

i remember Lyle crying on the sideline when the Raiders hammered Washington. he had made it, after all those lean years in Cleveland. i am thrilled that he reached the top of the hill before he passed away, because he earned it. RIP.

As far as I know, and according to the LDFA the game is on schedule as planned. Origanally it was set for 3-4 PM but according to the Santiago Eagles, there was a conflict with a soccer game at 4 that was scheduled prior to arranging the game. To my knowledge it is still scheduled for appx noon. There was a small problem with the Steelers, since they have to travel by bus from Santo Domingo Este, and re-arrange bus timing and player arrival at pickup point..and the referees/

Just received an e-mail from League President Ricardo Hazoury that indeed the game has been suspended. There is a game scheduled for June 19th in the capitol. Cannot give you any official reasons for the cancellation, but there have been problems with uniform colors and quantities, time of event, transportation, etc.
It seems that the more people that are involved, the more the problems multiply, and there are people who let their ego's get in the way of progress. I told my son that the league directors must put a stop to this bull if they want the league to flourish.
Sorry for any inconveniences suffered by football fans.
Years ago, when I ran the program myself, there were only 2-3 persons involved in all decisions and we did fine. However, now it is a different world.

That's why the NFL has just one Commissioner.
