I have been reading your blog with great interest for quite some time now on DR1.
I can't imagine how many people must have told you when you first started this project how crazy you were. I was one of them thinking it.
It is nice to see that the vision you had for what it could become has come a reality.

Thanks! Yes a lot of people did say I was crazy but also everyone has been very supportive - it helps when you are having a tough few days to read some nice comments!

That Cayo Arena looks waaay Kool. Is it safe to assume the photo was taken at high tide? Also, is your place exclusively for backpackers?

Yes it was a bit of a shame, they said it was this time of the year - but I think it was just high tide.

I wouldnt say exclusively for backpackers... we are open to everyone but we just remind them that it is a hostel not a hotel.

I'm sure that it has been an interesting journey building your hostel in the CZ from the ground up and it was interesting and rewarding reading how you guys were fairing along the way. I've been reading some good things about where you are now, but I wanted to hear from the horses mouth how you are doing. I'd also like to hear of the experiences members have had there. [And yes I know this thread started in 2012 and that the last post was in Oct 2014].
