Any Regrets living in DR?

In my tenth year here and have never had any regrets whatsoever - Like most people while I may complain about some of the details, I would probably do that no matter where I was.

I can't imagine living anywhere else, not for the foreseeable future anyway.

What I liked is so many of you are positive about your experience in DR and absolutely no one dumped on the place. Stanley

Bear in mind also that the responses you're getting are from committed expats who have taken the trouble to make the DR home viz. they have put some effort into this. You can search the board for quite a few posts from people who expect the DR to adjust to them but I doubt if they'll enter this thread in droves because the 'tone' has been set. But so that you get a more complete picture maybe use the search function to find out why those who have left did so particularly the committed, non-whining expats who left because there have been some.
