Yes, as you had clarified on post #10
(Page 1). I had responded that I meant historic rather than colonial on post #20 back in the beginning of this thread in 2019. đŸ˜‰
Some of those building will be restored, Turism Minister was here this week superving the area, Its really shame most of those building from earlier century 20 in in some bad conditions, The facades that now are part of Iberia store looks very nice.

You mentioned dating women. There goes your budget.
If you are used to Colombian women you might find the DR women are a less refined caliber.

You’re kidding. I cannot wait to see it. If it’s true, many of those historical buildings will be very beautiful. My fingers are crossed for Edificio Morey. You can see the turet in your second picture.

Also the huge one along the shoreline, just up from the dock. It has big beautiful doors on balconies and only a couple of entry ways had been replaced/ruined the last time I was there.

Edificio Morey and the one I mentioned (where apparently the PANAM Clippers had an airport, see mido’s link in post #25) would be my first pics. Hopefully as many as possible get much needed attention.

Thank you to everyone. I do love some beach, and some city as well. I will be 63, single, and my Spanish is intermediate. I have been to the DR 10 times, but twice to Punta Cuna so that doesn't count. I have never been to San Pedro, and obviously need to visit. I just thought it looked pretty central to get to other places in a reasonable time. I have also been to Colombia 12 times and other Latin countries many times. I was sure on retiring in Colombia because I do like the weather and cost of living is lower then the DR, but miss the beaches and I have been to Cartagena, and not the same. It does seem I would need a car if living in San Pedro, or am I missing something?
all you need is the uber app
