A group of archeologists discovered what appears to be a 3,000 years old (older than when Jesus Christ was alive) cemetery in Samaná. So far they discovered 17 human remains. Harvard University is going to collaborate in analyzing the DNA of the renains and do Carbon-14 testing.

This would be pre-Spanish or slave bloodlines.
So it will be interesting to see the lineage.
I am assuming these are small people of Indian / Asian origins. Any artifacts buried with them might be interesting. Doubtful and clothes or burial shrouds remain

I'll wait for the carbon testing to see how old they really are.

There are many, many unprecedented archaeological finds throughout this country. Offshore ad well. It will be very interesting to learn what they’re able to determine.
I hope the government continues to support it all.

Does anyone here have connections to el Museo del Hombre Dominicano, la Dirección Nacional de Museos, el Viceministerio de Áreas Protegidas de República Dominicana, o la fundación García Arévalo?

Based on the Carbon-14 tests, the results indicate that the remains are at least 5,300 years old. This makes it the oldest human remains in the DR and possibly on the island.

Supposedly, the Tainos had around 3,000 years on the island when Columbus arrived in 1492. If that is correct, these remains belong to pre-Taino people. This is also from well before Christ.
