Good day, when using a US dollar bank card to make cash withdrawels in the DR what are the typical fees charged by the banks and what is the maximum in pesos that can be taken out in a single day...?

Your bank determines maximum daily withdrawal, they will charge you their fee (varies by bank), and DR bank fee also varies by bank.

I realize you said "bank card", but sometimes people say that and it is a credit card issued by their bank. If that is the case, such a withdrawal is very likely considered a cash advance too...be aware of those potential fees too.

My last cash withdrawal at BP Boca Chica three weeks ago 15,000 out 243.17 down on my bank account that's 61.68 exchange rate all fees included. Max per day depends on the bank. I accept that rate no additional fees. Used to do 20,000 now just 15,000. Max per day depends I have three US cards all different daily limit.

This summarizes pretty much the truth. It all depends on your bank and the DR ATM bank.

We're using Scotiabank ATMs exclusively since about 8 years now. Based on my research, best exchange rate for EUR, the bills and the ATMs themselves always in good condition and the security guard knows us. Scotiabank is also the only bank in the DR with which ATMs I have personally had never issues.

Assuming it’s a debit card: Typical fees from the DR atm around 150-500 pesos, depends on DR bank. The US bank has its fees also, around $5 usd typically.
Max amount depends on DR bank. Some 10k, some 12k, some 20k. Haven’t found one higher.
Your US bank can tell you your max amount is much higher, but the DR bank will set the limit and ignore what the US bank said.
I’m talking debit cards only.

+1 for Scotiabank. I withdrew 25k DOP from Scotiabank in Cabarete earlier this month. £320.36 and no fees. so @Yachtmaster you might want to look for a bank account + debit card that does not charge fees for overseas withdrawals. Then you can limit yourself to worrying about the DR bank's fees.

Yes, good answer as I expect the DR banks to dispense less maximum cash than what my US dollar bank does...

Adding to my comment above: It appears that Scotiabank in POP has changed their ATM they have in Jumbo, now it's a freestanding machine and not integrated to the wall. It also works much faster than those at 27 de febrero. Additional reason to favor Scotiabank ATMs
