He was a Savage Dominican wearing a Hotel Uniform , not sophisticated at all, like her Husband .

funny, how Gorgon an I are on the same exact page on this .
not that it matters .

not because we disagree on some things means we cannot find common ground on others.

some things stare you in the face, and demand that you open your eyes.

just that he was wearing a resort uniform period !!

a guy attacked me with a machete over six years ago, in front of the Partido Blanco building , in POP. he got the worst of the exchange, but i still remember what he was wearing. a guy beats the living daylights out of you and you can't describe him?

So she could read on front of his shirt the logo from the resort but couldn't see his face to identify. Strange

I assume that her husband must of had keys to that rm. so he could throw her in ? And now Big (I was going to insert his last name but i'll be kind) is going to say the door was open.

Her fingernails should have been scraped for DNA, and this case would have been solved in 24 hours . or at least the Husband eliminated as a Suspect ..
The Hotel should have agreed to pay for this , or at least OFFERED , and if she refused , put that in writing, if they had any Brains .. and foresight . It appears the Police dont do any of that stuff. no matter how brutal the crime ..
One would think a woman getting her face bashed in would be enough reason to do such Tests .
This is not a CSI tv show , but it is the year 2019 . no ? where we do DNA tests just to find out who we were related to .. for fun ..
Now the Hotel have to pay a huge settlement . even if it was not an employee who did this .

Maybe word is getting out .. If you mess yourself up at a Big Hotel or have a bad fight and beat your wife .. just blame the Hotel, because they are Clueless in how to defend themselves ..

Lots of people who lives in NJ move to DE , Nj Prop taxes $10 - 16K.... DE , avg around $2,500 a year ,,
some of the lowest in the East Coast . Not to mention great Laws with respect to Inheritance and other taxes .
So yeagh, even trailer trash can live high on the Hog ..if they choose to live nice.

Now, Ladies of the Forum ...
Take a GOOD look at her Husband ... take a real good look. and tell me he does not fit the Profile of someone who would do this ..
This man is wearing Sandals , shorts and a baseball cap to a Video Interview .. his appearance does not even fit with someone who owns that house . If i did not know any better I would almost say that is in a STUDIO made to look like a House . not theirs ..
he looks more like the Plumber coming to fix a leak .

As a financial advisor, I can tell you as a matter of fact that there are a lot of baseball cap, Carhart wearing average Joe's out there making six figures as plumbers, carpet installers, garage owners etc. One guy came to see me and he made $182,000 last year as a mechanic on a gas pipeline. Most of these guys are the nicest people on the planet, and after working 12 hours, they don't feel like going shopping for UnderArmour or whatever the latest label is. They are probably busy throwing a baseball to their son or driving their daughter to her sport.

Maybe some of you geniuses can start a business for the one in 6,000,000 people who get raped and savagely beaten in the DR, and you can counsel them on what to wear, and how to speak. You can train them and get them in shape before they attend the television interviews that you schedule for them. You can advise them on which attorney to hire in the DR and which hospital to go to at 6:00 am. You can coach them through interviews on live TV a few days after they are almost killed and their teeth are still loose or knocked out. You can help out the plumber by going to a customer's house at 3:00 am in the morning because his heat pump died and he needs to fix it before his pipes freeze, because Joe plumber is still in the DR, wondering around for a man that he has no description of who may have beaten his wife.

I think a lot of people move to the DR to get away from the judgmental a** holes in the "civilized" world.

I hire Plumbers , and other Contractors .. and Maintenance guys, Dozens of them.
got nothing against them ... it was merely a point of comparison
and yes , our Plumber from 10 years ago, is a Millionaire now .. Albanian guy, very ambitious man, and no has never beaten his wife .

know who you preaching to, before you preach ..
But i guess you made your point .... taken

Beautiful home inside and out, there goes the “trailer park trash looking for a payday” theory.

More often than not in this world, those nice lace curtains are shielding the truth that lies behind them. Never judge a book by it's cover.

Why did not one person see this big blue collar type guy walking around with a blood soaked woman over his shoulder, why wasn't it picked up by all those security cameras ?

I doubt those keys are in wide circulation. That should help narrow down the perps.

Once again, you are only basing your opinion on the one statement provided, and the subsequent reporting of that one version. Why will you not allow all the facts to be revealed? If it turns out the victim's version is the true version of the event, I will admit I was wrong right here on this thread line. If it is proven that the story contains falsehoods, will you be able to bring yourself to admit that you were wrong?

Have you seen the video footage from those cameras? Please enlighten the rest of us.

Never said she wasn't in the room and never threw any clandestine name calling at posters like you did. Just said it didn't happen the way she said it did. Her credibility is super questionable at best. She did not say if the guy was Dominican, Haitian, Russian, black, white, French accent etc. She immediately exclaimed the police in "those countries" lumping them into who knows what category. She said she fought for her life against this guy and she has no physical details to give, leaving the police to cast a wide net and confront any and every one. Unable to exclude dark skin, light skin, Asians ...phony baloney I say and extremely thoughtless to the locals and the resort. Wonder if the resort can give the details as to how many times she ordered cocktails, bet they can, but they wont out of consideration.

Could just be poor upbringing. Some people just don't know how to dress for anything.

If I had a dollar for every time my Dad said "Go back in your room and put on a shirt with a collar"... I'd be rich.

In her defence it was dark, she wasnt fully sober, she was hit from behind and he was bigger than her. It is quite possible all she saw was a flash of uniform colour before fighting to stay alive. Several articles in Listin Dairo mention that a rape kit was used at the clinc so maybe the police do have more evidence than has been discussed here.

We all bring certain life experiences, biases, prejudices (call them what you will) to our reactions surrounding stories of this nature.
I spent many years working in an A.I. environment as a destination representative.
It might surprise a few people here to know just how often accusations of this sort are made against hotel employees.
It might also be shocking to learn how often those same accusations are debunked.
While there is no question that the woman suffered some serious injuries, the ability to assess guilt will remain illusive to dr1 members until such time as further information is available.
I will safely assume that the Hotel performed the necessary investigation in this matter and has information that the rest of us do not have.
I would respectfully add that the accuser's story has many of the earmarks one might expect to find in a highly polished and well rehearsed "conte de fée".

My life experiences lead me to suspect that...

A...AL. K. Hall has played a lead role in this unfortunate story
B...There is no violently psychopathic hotel employee running around loose at this hotel.
C...There may be a more obvious suspect hiding in plain sight and the people at the hotel know it.
D...The "going public" aspect is more an act of retribution than anything else.

There you go, my two cents added to the pot.
(For what it's worth)
