Now's your chance to bid on a vehicle, parts, or property.

Santo Domingo.- The General Directorate of National Assets informed those interested in participating in the second Public Auction of this year, it will take place this Friday, September 22 in the Auditorium of the Max Henríquez Ureña National Library, at 9:00 in the morning.

There are 137 lots and 54 cases that consist of transferable vehicles, pieces and parts, furniture, office equipment, and scrap metal, which are already available for verification in the institution's Unloaded Goods Depot, located on Mella highway at the corner of Penetration. , (CEAGANA), next to the OMSA control and in the parking lot of the Central Electoral Board.

Registration will be open until Thursday, September 21, at the Dr. Rafael Kasse Acta Government Building, located at Gustavo Mejía Ricart, Ensanche Piantini, until 12:00 noon, with a cost of two thousand pesos ( RD2,000 ), as the right to verification and participation.

The auction, chaired by the general director of National Assets and honorary of the State Sugar Council (CEA), Rafael Burgos Gómez, will be held at the public proclamation, in the presence of the BN Sales Commission, an observer, and a notary public, to highlight the transparency and adherence to the rules with which auctions and all processes in National Assets and the CEA are carried out.

Can you imagine what a bunfight that would turn out to be. By the way the banks do these auctions pretty much every month for real estate, and the customs guys also do one regularly for goods that they have seized. The customs ones are very interesting, you can buy a job-lot of maybe 20 TV's for example and lots of other weird and wonderful stuff. For the real estate you just need to google "subasta" and the name of bank and you'll usually find the link. For the customs one, the link is here:


You will definitely need a good lawyer to help you with buying a property through auction in DR, but I presume Guzman Ariza would have expertise in this.

The General Directorate of National Assets held the second public auction of this year, where it offered 137 cases and 54 lots consisting of transferable vehicles, pieces and parts, furniture, office equipment, and scrap metal, in which it raised the sum of RD$30,278,000.

The activity was held this Friday, September 22, in the Auditorium of the National Library, Pedro Henríquez Ureña, with a first bid of RD$24,295,000,000.

The Auction Manager of the General Directorate of National Assets, José Antonio Trinidad, explained that the fixed assets auctioned come from releases from different public institutions.


The 137 cases and 54 lots were available for verification at the institution's Unloaded Goods Depot, located on the Mella highway at the corner of Penetration, (Ceagana), next to the control of the Metropolitan Bus Services Office (OMSA) and in the parking of the Central Electoral Board, among other institutions.

They reported that those who were awarded will only have five business days, from the date of the auction , for full payment of the lots and cases acquired, by certified check in the name of the National Treasury, and five additional business days to withdraw them . . After this period without making payment, they will lose the right to withdraw the auctioned property.


The auction was chaired by the deputy general director José A. Moya Mejía, representing the general director of National Assets and honorary of the State Sugar Council (CEA), Rafael Burgos Gómez, and was held at the proclamation, with a public vendor in presence of the National Assets Sales Commission , an observer and a notary public, highlighting the transparency and adherence to the rules with which auctions and all processes in National Assets and the CEA are carried out.

The deputy directors general of the DGBN-CEA, officials and guests also participated.
