All along I thought I was the only one who did this
Seriously, I am willing to bet that just as many people get sick from the ice as from the water. When water pipes have holes, water leaks out, and when the pressure drops, who knows what can seep back in. Same with the ice bags. I take them out of the cooler from the colmado, and they are squirting water from 10 holes in the bag because it is half melted. I cannot tell you how many times I have seen fish and chicken in the cooler, dripping down below onto the bags of ice/water. Not to mention how many filthy hands have reached into the cooler to get bags of ice, or the occasional dirty knife to break them apart.

El Hijo de Manolo

It's outrageous, egregious, preposterous!

Yep it's that bad. Also because many don't want a whole bag, way too many times I've seen the attendants sticking their hands in there. Imagine the ecoli, salmonella etc. I do, almost always, toss the ice in a colander and run filtered water over it. That said about ice, the 5 gallon jug water is not much better. If you buy these from the colmado, make sure they are from the top of the rack, as the drunks, rats, dogs, etc will unleash their plagues upon the ones close to the ground.

We are getting off topic on this thread... I think we all get the idea that diet drinks may/may not be good for you. Thread closed.
