I don't know if anyone saw this, but the Chief of Police has said that the use of Balaclavas is prohibited. I'm not really concerned if he has the authority to do that, but TBH I don't care.
Almost every crime committed in the DR is by criminals on motorcycles using them.

I had to look up that word, then the article calls them "pasamontañas. They were totally acceptable during covid, even in banks.

What's wrong with balaclavas? Especially in winter.
You do know this is a forum for topics about the Dominican Republic? Which is in the Caribbean, so winter, spring, summer and fall, its hot.

Actually, in Jarabacoa, riding a motorcycle in November thru February often requires face protection because of cold wet weather. People are often wearing gloves, thick coats, and thick hats, and balaclavas.

Surgical mask, mirrored sunglass, hat. The criminals will adjust and look more stylish in the process.

In the UK the kids who go out stealing now wear COVID style masks. Those ones we all loved so much during the pandemic.

At least they can’t be caught by fever!

When doing ‘dusty’ work I always forget I still have several of these somewhere in a drawer. Must be an ignore thing.
