No, I had my account before and added it. Maybe it was the other way around and adding the BPD bank account to the PP account. I don't remember.

you can not add the BPD account to the PayPal account.
that's the specific DR difference to other countries bank accounts.
you can add to your PayPal account european and american bank accounts and credit cards etc etc,
but not dominican bank accounts.
it has to be done the other way around, by adding the PayPal account to the BPD Bank Account.
hence, to withdraw funds from your PayPal account and send them to your BPD account,
you do not sign into your PayPal account.
you sign into your BPD account online banking and from there you withdraw the PayPal funds.
for example to send PayPal Funds to a german account, yo0u do not even need any online banking of that german account.
you just log-in to your paypal account and send the funds to the german bank account.
that does not work this way with the special agreement the DR-BPD has with PayPal.

Then they changed something. I was able to add three existing PayPal accounts when I started with it and when we had that discussion here before.

while we use a USD account from BPD,
been told by the bank that it could also be a Pesos Account of theirs.
but then you have their unfavorable exchange rates to take, lol.
so we decided on the USD account to use.
