The Banco Popular, the nation’s largest private financial institution, has reported that it is gradually restoring its branch services. For the past 40+ days, managerial staff worked from home, and rotating shifts were established for the bank’s 137 branches. In a press release, the bank says they are instating strict health guidelines for physical distancing and hygiene measures. The bank ordered that those over 60+ and with vulnerable health conditions should continue to work from home.
The Banco Popular Dominicano is the largest private bank, with over 7,500 employees, representing 23% of all bank employees in the Dominican Republic.
