Bank Account With USD vs DOP

I have just a while ago seen this, it claims that Banreservas would already offer not only debit cards with micro chip in them (replacing "la verde"), but would do this also for USD savings accounts, not sure if anyone has experience about this?

If this is true, I suppose they would deduct your account with their daily USD rate when withdrawing from an ATM?

I expect that would be the case... same as when you transfer, they use a rate and would use that same rate for withdrawals from the US account.

Not a big deal, IMO... I just transfer to pesos and withdraw... one less transaction, I suppose
