I get your point that environmental concerns are an issue, nobody is saying they aren't. What i dont know is if all the pollution pictured in the pictures you posted was deposited there by Barrick?

Secondly, part of the "deal" was remediation of past environmental mismanagement. The degree to which we verify that BG has kept is side of the deal is a different story.

The degree to which the govt steps up its regulation of environmental matters is another. But this shouldn't preclude the country from monetizing its wealth.

Since the government has 51%, the problems should be their fault, not Barrick's :laugh:

It is very difficult living on this planet and not contributing to a toxic environment. If a person wants... one of the things they can do is throw away their computer. Do you have any idea how much toxicity was produced in making your computer....oil for the plastic and there are lots of precious metals in it that were mined. I believe that BG is doing everything they can to run as tight a ship as possible in mining at PV. And... when you use WiFi, cell phones.... just more electrosmog from all of the electromagnetic frequencies.
