Met up with a respected friend from years ago. She and husband commuted from D.R. to Haiti, working in Haiti for 5 days a week at very upscale horse facility.
Day after the assassination, all the clients/horse owners had left leaving everything including very expensive horses, gear, homes and all.
They also left and never went back.

U.S.A.
Only that No One knows who the good guys are,
That is the problem
If they had something as simple as UNIFORMS for instance?
Or a Recognized Head of State?
Or an elected government?

Then I could understand how equipping "Armed forces" with more weapons.

Last time - When MIDNUSTAH came it - They were able to go into Cite Soleil and at least kill the biggest bad guy so that aid could get in,
Are there any good guys left in Haiti who have any clout? Name one.

Yes, so you have the educated people leaving the country.
And the people left behind fighting for survival over scraps.
And the people of Haiti are supposed to put their country back together with what.
The police say they are outgunned.

Where are the weapons for Haiti...like we see flowing to another country on the current European theater of war?

Haiti is in the backyard of a of North America.
My neighbor's daughter just passed through on her way back and forth from Haiti to Paris
She was educated in the US - her parents are citizens now - but she returned to their house in Delmas
and runs an ice factory employing 24 people

So
Yes
Folks are fleeting -
but Not ALL the Educated...or wealthy...

(my neighbors still work at age 65 - he was a mechanic for GM and she now head of housekeeping at an upscale hotel)

My neighbors here - clearly upper class with perfect French... have two daughters, One is here. The other went back to Haiti and runs an ice plant which employs 24 people. She will not leave - not even to come for a vacation.
Very few Haitians speak perfect French or French for that matter.
