Not understanding the reason why they were deported or why they were imprisoned. There has to be more detail than what the article gave.
Met up with a respected friend from years ago. She and husband commuted from D.R. to Haiti, working in Haiti for 5 days a week at very upscale horse facility.
Day after the assassination, all the clients/horse owners had left leaving everything including very expensive horses, gear, homes and all.
They also left and never went back.

Or an elected government?
Then I could understand how equipping "Armed forces" with more weapons.

She was educated in the US - her parents are citizens now - but she returned to their house in Delmas
and runs an ice factory employing 24 people

Excellent article. Kudos to those who did the long and difficult work to bring about the Accord. It seems to be the best way forward for Haiti. I hope the U.S. doesn't stand in the way. Disassociating from Ariel Henry would be a good first step.
