On Google maps you can see a small stretch of sandy beach behind Coco hotel on Dr. Alejo Martinez. Is that beach open to the public or is it on private property?

The beach you refer to is called Playa Imbert, access is across private property. General Imbert was the owner, he was the last surviving member of the group who killed Trujillo. I don't think there is still access from Coco Hotel.

Siam - Sorry, you're out of luck. That beach area is on Hispaniola Condos property. They aren't obligated to give public access. Imbert Beach (aka General Beach) is now called Hispaniola Beach.

Isn't it General Imbert that shot a bad guy a couple years back?

Balcony? I might have my Dominican Generals mixed up. I can't find the story I was thinking about.

General Imbert himself was the target of an attempted hit in 1967 by Trujillo relatives. He drove himself to the hospital. General Imbert died in 2016.
