Best hotel in Puerto Plata for 2 week stay

portofino has ok location but it is very basic. like, dominican basic.
hotel kevin i passed about a million times but never been inside or know anyone who used it. that part of the city is very nice, relatively safe and quiet but zero parking to speak of.

I stayed at Lomar a couple nights, it was great ... walking distance (or short moto) to anywhere.
I got the room facing the ocean, beautiful view!

Airbnb (and VRBO) are awesome for finding places to stay ...
Garden Condos in Sosua is great, stayed there several times ... nice pool, quiet, and yet a short walk to everything in town.
Los Balcones is oceanfront, more expensive, but worth it (we've treated ourselves to 3 stays there)

Hey buddy don't get upset but you have been coming to PP for the last 9 years and you still don"t know your way around.....where have you stayed before????

Always the Iberostar or Be Live resorts. I know my way around, but i have never checked out any of the non AI hotels there.
