Steven restaurant for dinner,their chivo curry is to die for,their breaakfast is well,meh. Dolce Y Sapori for breakfast,their benedicts are out of this world,they have six different kinds and they have the best coffee around,expensive and no free refills but I go there at least three times a week. The best of the bestfor dinner is Casa Ventiuno,hands down with Hispañiola Diners Club second.
Nelson's Bistro has some really good food as well.

There is no such thing as a best restaurant. Everybody has their favourite. Food is subjective.
I like Nelson…there service can be horrible at times …almost like they want to keep you there as long as possible to seem busy..
Copa Cabana? Sorry that doesn't belong on the list. Food is dreadful, drinks for late night bookers
Charli's - best churrasco, and goulash no competition.
Hotel El Rancho - best chicken curry, beef roll and lentil soup and schnitzel. Vegetarian options.
El Conde - sorry it misses the cut for quality this year. Used to be good. Hope it comes back.
Best Tacos - hands down that's Spankys.
Best Sushi - Margots when the Russian girl is working.
Nelson's - scratched from my list - the food is OK but pricey (but just dreadful service)
Hispaniola - very good food, great service.
Best Avena (oatmeal) - Velvet (also best coffee)
Regrets - no one can make a good chili or any tamales or enchiladas in Sosua.

Sorry I found the food at Mangos to be over-priced and just two notches above inedible.
And the constantly empty tables back up my opinion
