1) Fridge is not an essential appliance to run on the inverter. If you have a good fridge, it can stay cold for a long time without street power. 2) Now that the fridge is eliminated, you can buy a smaller inverter.
3) Buy good quality right from the start. It will be cheaper in the long run and will hold its value for resale.
4) If your buying a good inverter (Trace/Xantrex), see Mr. Mike. He unquestionably has the best deals.
5) You may be able to find a used model, if you're lucky.
