For the star gazers, here's a schedule of the "Super Moon" for 2014

When the moon is at "perigee" it is at its closest approach to the Earth
and " apogee" when its furthest away.

During a perigee or Super moon(this occurs during a full moon) be on the
look out (in the news) for seismic activities (tremors, earthquakes) within
hours of its appearance.

Here's how it looks:

If its an eclipse, then how come its red, shouldn't the moon disappear? Or it will it be red, and then disappear with the eclipse?

Think of it this way.

The reddish glow you're seeing during a full eclipse - Earthshine, as bronzeallspice correctly pointed out or the light being refracted through the atmosphere in a fiery ring around the shadowed Earth as seen if you were standing on the lunar surface and looking up - is actually the combined light of every sunrise and sunset on Earth seen simultaneoulsy.

P.S.
There is no "edge" of a good viewing area for a lunar eclipse. If it's above the horizon, day or night, you see it unlike a solar eclipse. By the way there will be a nearly total solar eclipse of the sun along the North Coast in about 42 months. Starting at 2:00PM, peaking around 3:30PM on August 21st 2017, with over 96% of the sun's disk covered. Take a yola about 100 miles northeast off the coast and you'll be in totality. Mark your calendars!
