Botanical Gardens reopen in Santiago

Each person is required to wear a face mask and keep distance among all that are not family. The board of the Professor Eugenio de Jesus Marcano Botanical Gardens says that they decided to reopen because people need to go out and enjoy the fresh air. They reason this is possible as long as visitors stick to the prevention protocols.

The gardens had been closed since March. Santiago citizens insisted it had to reopen. It is now open from 9am to 3pm to the general public.People’s temperatures are being taken at the door.

The Santiago botanical gardens are located in Jacagua and are an extension of 600,000 square meters of land divided into thematic areas. There is more than 10 km of trails within.

The board of directors the gardens will also be open from 6am to 9am for frontline medical personnel, the military, fire and police.
