I know this might seem very random, but does anyone know of any places to go bowling in the DR? or is it non-existant? :ermm:
I always wondered if bowling was popular in DR, never noticed anything on my trips. Do you know if it is standard bowling? Or are the pins/lanes smaller? Just wondering![]()
The lanes at the bowling alley that Frank is talking about are pretty descent, modern and clean.
They are normal size and the lanes are polished so you can slide ok. The house balls are only adequate. If you use a 16 lb. like me...bring your own, they don't have any. They have a pro shop there that can drill you a new one if you desire. Very good snack bar inside with many types of food. They also run a special for twice the bowling time for the same price every week.
Have fun.....
I am making a note of this bowling alley.
Anyone else know of other bowling lanes throughout the island? Any in the capital area? :cheeky::bunny:
Eng. Roberto Pastoriza and Abraham Lincoln - Bolero Bowling Center - on the south-west corner of the junction. Not a bowler myself, I've never been but I've heard from people from the US that it's OK.

I think we paid $RD500 for an hour of lane time for 4 of us. Not too bad. The lane balls are so-so. The snack bar has hot dogs (Nathans? Sabarette? National? I forget, but top quality) but are pricy. The lanes at the bowling alley that Frank is talking about are pretty descent, modern and clean.

And i drive all the time on Ave Abr Lincoln....is this bowling center actually on Lincoln or is it on Roberto Pastoriza? I know the streets exactly but never recalled ever seeing a Bolero Bowling Center....is it hidden in a plaza? visible from the streets? :ermm:
