Brit ladies from cruise ship give POP bad review
The same Puerto Plata that a few weeks ago impressed this guy? 
PS. He makes the error of calling the old center the Colonial Zone of Puerto Plata (probably because a Dominican told him that.) The only city in the DR that has a Colonial Zone is Santo Domingo. In Puerto Plata 99.9% of the old buildings were built after the country was created.

That was a chore to watch. Nothing shocking about it. They are naive and took chances but nothing happened to them. Lots of police present and most locals who approached them were courteous. They wore way too much jewelry and weren’t very aware of their surroundings. If anything, they reminded me why I don’t like taking cruises.
Her lips look like they hurt. I bet if she went to Wisconsin the silicone would freeze and she couldn't talk.
Why do airhead pampered women think anyone is interested in their boring cruise video.
Imagine the horror of being seen coming off a cruise without steaming your linen cover up first ? Oh the Humanity.
"this looks a bit dodgy..." I assume they didn't go to the fortaleza unless I missed that in their video when I skipped ahead a few minutes. Where they were walking on the malecon certainly is not the "lay on the beach with a coco" section.

I’m guessing the Pedro Clisante ladies wouldn’t be impressed with them. 😆
I agree that the video was pretty uninteresting. But what's wrong with her voice - you don't like the English accent? Come and talk to me and get really annoyed!
Is that the 1000 men in 24 hours gal? Lots of top talent coming out of UK these days.

Not every cruise port interests every person. I doubt that their opinion will affect other cruise passengers' decision to visit POP.
I dont know how, I was skipping through it and then she said 'it is giving her St.Tropez vibes' video link to that comment and then a few seconds later, she says 'there's a lot of shops with the naughty smoky stuff' and 'its a big thing here'
May be I need to go find out what the naughty smoky stuff in all the shops is. Anyone know what she is on about ?

Much of Puerto Plata doesn’t seem “dodgy.” If it looks different from how many towns look like in Britain, that’s because it’s different."this looks a bit dodgy..."
Some people simply don’t know what they are looking at and greatly assume things that only exist in their heads. Reminds me many years ago a new DR1er posted they were scared seeing the people from the coach bus. What exactly was the scary part? Oh yes, many of the people look different from what they are used to in their hometowns. God forbid they had to exit the bus in any other place that wasn’t the resort or airport.
They are in Puerto Rico at that point in the video. Not sure what the naughty smoky stuff is!

I didn't watch the video but it is common to walk around and smell naughty smoky stuff most everywhere. The smell travels quite well.
Definitely not weed. Probably vape shops/cigar shops.
Close to the port and even the old city there are definitely buildings that could be in a better shape and a few street corners very near the port would perhaps be a no-go area very late at night / early in the morning, but when there's a ship in port, definitely nothing "dodgy" near where the tourists are. Just the other day we passed by when two huge ships (one Norwegian something) where docked, very lively and nice.
