Looking to construct a 2 bedroom home..but hearing that construction cost has dramatically increased, is it possible to build a home no more than $100k..fortunately, we already have the land.
It's definitely possible if you already have the land. But it really depends on what you're looking to do, quality of finishing work, whether you're also budgeting for appliances in those 100K, and how involved you'll be. Construction costs go up significantly if you're not there to supervise the work.

What are the generator costs when building from the ground up?

Or are they able to tap into Edenorte from the getgo?

I built my house in the village myself. I made the plans, 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room a toilet and a garage 150M2 all in cement. I bought the cement, metal bar, sand and blocks. Then I hired 4 experienced workers. It is built like a bunker. For doors and windows I took the best contract offers on the market. You have to speak a little Spanish. Under 100K before covid.

It would be great to see a picture.

Since you already have the land, that’s a huge step in the right direction. I’ve seen some folks get creative by choosing simpler designs and using cost-effective materials.

I once helped a friend build a small cabin on their property, and they kept costs down by doing a lot of the work themselves and sourcing materials locally. They also focused on energy-efficient designs that save money in the long run.

Thankfully home is already constructed..cost was 63k..roof tiles 4.k
We're in the process with electrical work, doors and floor tiles..bathroom fixtures, kitchen cabinets..might make it barely less than 100k..🙏🏻

"in the process with electrical work, doors........" now you are still facing 70% of the total cost. If your total for naked construction incl. Roof was around 70K, you might face another 100k to finish.

I agree with points 1 and 2, but am struggling to work out what "WW real estate projects" are.
When all is said and done where do people want to live. Is it the DR? Cuba? How much will SSA payout or still exist? Things like that cross my mind As a real estate speculator for many many years.

Sounds like he's made some progress.
Electrical work, wiring, plumbing, floor tiles, roofing tiles, doors all completed..all completed. Total was 94k..fortunately
Dominican wife did some negotiating with family members who do construction work..had it been on my own to represent myself, more than likely it would of been more expensive...
