Builded my own villa here in Las Terrenas. 650 m2 villa with 110m2 pool. Without any problems. Just find the right people. I imported many stuff from abroad. led-light systems, pool system, kitchen, etc.

Problems mostly start when you want a million dollar home for 100 bucks.... And that is not possible.
