Terry......

So why are you posting comments about Joanne on Cora's thread?

Of course it could be Christines thread or Cheryl's thread, or Suzanne's thread or Vickie's thread or Alice's thread or .....
Get the picture.........

Maybe while I'm at it I should post some stuff here about the baseball players we've met........
Like Juan Guzman,George Bell,Fernando Tatis, and about six others that haven't made it big yet so I don't remember their names (old age creeping up ya know!).........

Listen to Hillbilly....he's lived here more than most and has seen and heard it all!!

La Chambra

And here I was beginning to feel safe when somebody said that CHAMBRA was in Canada. Now that he has returned I fell like asking Candelier to post an AMET by my door.

I remember one time a guy by the nickname of "El Gato" was hired by a large hardware store on Kennedy Avenue. He even posted his nickname on the application! I would have fired the human resources administration. They placed him in shipping. He is now in jail for trying to set up a hardware store of his own.

So a guy named CHAMBRA could be a threat to society.

The lady at Caribe Tours used to call me "mi reina" in the most pretentious, bored voice...Used to drive me crazy:

"Dime, mi reina. Qu? tu quieres."

Sometimes it was "mi vida". Equally annoying.
That's very Dominican. Maybe in other planets, err, countries it is very uncommon but here everybody address total strangers by mi amor, mi vida or some such. I do it all the time, of course you must refrain to use it when addressing someone you must show respect to.

Don't take it bad mi cielo.

No, I don't know who La Chambra is

Pib....mi coraz?n,

It wasn't so much what she called me, as much as her *tone of voice*. A sort of mocking tone that just drove me crazy.

Oh yes. mi corazon, mi amor, mi reina, mi cielo. mi vida ect. This is part of the problem that people from other planets.errr countries are not used to hearing at home. So the first time someone says that to them they think they're in love. I think it should be posted at the gate. THIS COUNTRY WILL CALL YOU "MI AMOR" SO DON"T TAKE IT SERIOUSLY WE DON"T REALLY MEAN IT. ITS BETTER THAN. HEY! YOU!

what is it that you girls see in them that the rest of the dominican population seem to be missing out on?

Then answer:

Most of these girls are fed up with gringo men because they can't interest any of quality. This is because the girls usually do not have the looks it takes to attract one, for a variety of reasons ranging from homeliness, weight problem, age, etc. Remember, gringo men almost always go by looks and if you don't pass that test, your chances are slim.

Sankies look good (to the gringas). Especially black sankies, as they tend to have more muscle mass than white gringos and get that carved look from living on rice and beans. The sankies just throw a cute smile out their way and the gringas are hooked.

Sankies don't care about how the gringa looks.

Sankies bang hard. Gringas are used to gringos, who have been trained to be tender and loving in bed.

Gringas don't recognize the language sankies use to be low-life indicators because Spanish is not the gringa's first language.

Sankies have less of just about everything compared to the gringa (money, education, upbringing, travel experience, ...) and therefore idolize these things in the gringa. It would be very difficult for a gringa to find a gringo that idolizes her and makes her feel special, especially a gringa that can't even atrract a decent gringo.

Gringas control the purse, and therefore maintain sole power, something that is usually not possible with a gringo.

Gringas are intrigued by the "simple, back to basics, animal instinct, macho defense" type of man that the Sankie represents. They are actually tired of the "trained" gringo that gringas demanded some 20-30 years ago and now have to deal with and look for men as they were before all this women's liberation stuff came about, demanding sensitivity, etc.

Gringas that don't do well with gringos finally found someone that will pay attention to them and they don't really care why. They can mold this sankie as they see fit once they get the guy home. After all, she can just tell him "that's the way things are done here in ------ anytime he protests". He won't know the difference!

Sankies have no problem telling a gringa they love them regardless of the truth. Gringos HATE saying this stuff even when it IS true. Nothing hooks a gringa faster than hearing those magic words.

Jim Hinsch, the white sankie

Right on the money Jim. You are good. Must have spent way to much time in Boca Chica. The most memorable part of your post "sankies bang hard". LOL... How do you know, things that make you go ..hummmmm??

I see nothing wrong with the girls and the sankies. Why not. Nobody is holding a gun to anybody's head. How many young single gringo men would not mind being a sanky if they could. Lots.

Some of the girls are gems I'm sure, and a few sankies too, those entrepreneurial guys that they tend to be.

What an accurate description........

Too bad so many gringa's and gringo's delude themselves.......
Just wish there were stat's available on how many of these liasons end up on the trash heap once the sanki/puta have their "papers" for residence in the gringa/gringo's country!
Anecdotel numbers are NOT encouraging!!

There's just too many.......

of the "looking for" threads on this board!!!
Hopefully trina will have some info for you as she seems to be the most likely one to have an address or phone number.
If you're sure he's in Toronto you might try directory info for a phone number (although the phone is likely in his wifes' name).
Again maybe trina knows what her name is if you don't.
You might also check the internet 411 directory for him/her.
Also I believe Sympatico has a Canadian directory......

I don't know where you can reach him, but I am sure his wife will be reading this, and I will leave that up to her.

If there are this many unrelated posts because the 'regulars' can't handle the 'looking for' posts... DONT READ 'EM! That should solve the problem!

And MommC... all that Mi Amore, Ti Amo, that you wrote was mostly in Italian! Ja ja

Of course they were since a large percentage of the suckers on the south coast are from Italy, or the Italian speaking areas of Switzerland...

You are right, Bugsey, we probably shouldn't read or answer those posts, but maybe, just maybe somebody will learn...

Did you read the Baseball thread in another section? Interesting posts from a wife of a DR ball player...

What's the diff????

Whether you say mi amor or mi amore it sounds the same over the phone. And you won't find an Italian saying:" ti quiedo or ti quiero mucho!!!" Nor will you find an Italian saying:" pero non llego il dinero!"
Didn't say I could write Spanish.......can't write Italian either for that matter.....but I do understand fairly well what I hear and read.......

Also two words in Italian out of 1/2 paragraph does not equate with "mostly" Italian........

Jim Hinsch, right on money again.

Great post, Jim, with a ton of wisdom in the sankie mystery. I was on the same wavelength as you but you explaimed the whole mechanism in simple words.
