Not exactly. It's more of a healthcare / housing project with hospitality services bolted on, but the trick here is that you have a captive audience. And as far as investment goes, there are many many housing projects which are struggling here and many millions of dollars available for investment in property.

Market a real estate project as strictly for English-speaking expat over 50's, with a medical service managed and staffed by a large international healthcare company, hospitality services provided by someone like Radisson or Hilton, all staff 100% fluent in English, community center, activities and groups. And maybe even a sports bar. I think you'd get buy-in from some of the snow-birds. I was in Cabarete and I was surprised to see how many old and often single people were there.

Cabarete has many expats. A sports bar may work there. There is a vacancy at the old pool hall there. Top floor of a building.
Sosua has plenty of sports bars.

That casino location is a little off the strip. Location was bad. The old pool hall is in the center of Cabarete. I believe the pool tables are still there. If Arriba Bar is still open and attracts expats, a sports bar may work.
There are still some empty spots on the beach available.

Remember... Cabarete is growing and new construction is not going to stop. The expat community will continue to grow.

Cabarete doesn't attract the gambling types. There was a small casino right on the beach a couple years ago and it failed. That old pool hall hasn't been open for years. Arriba bar works because it has the cheapest drinks in town plus plenty of working girls. The spots on the beach are still empty because the owners want too much rent.

He is more interested in being with the girls who visit, albeit in much smaller numbers these days.

Since, as usual, you wrongly think you know everything about me, I will inform you that I don't go to the Mojito Bar very much at all. However, I do know that it is the most popular bar on Cabarete beach, so most people, it seems, disagree with your description. From my very occasional visits, I do not recognise your description at all. However, I suggest you inform the Italian owner of your opinion.

Hijo, you're confusing Mojito's with another place. Mojito's, which is alongside Ojo/LAX, is really a nice restaurant, not a bar. It's the most popular spot on the beach along with Ojo/LAX and has very good food. You must be thinking of "La Cosita del Mojito" which is a very small, nondescript, bar next to what used to be called Ono Bar(not to be confused with Ojo's).
