I am thinking of buying pasola. What would be the reasonable price ? Dont need anything fast just to get around really locally shopping etc.
where is the best place to get one around Boca chica? Thank you for your help.

New or used?

I bought a used Honda Cub in Nagua back in 2012 for 32,000 pesos.
Haven't priced them in a while but you should be able to find something
that runs well for $1,000 USD.

There are plenty of new Chinese pasolas for well under $1000. You can get a used Honda Lead or a PGO T-Rex for around $1000.

Many places have 'Repos' - repossessions from those who cannot pay their loans

Most of these are women, nad many have VERY low miles...
I have seen this first hand

If I was buying.... that would be it....

This. I'd never go for a passola, but a Honda Cub would be a much wiser decision. (Motorcycle rider for 40 yrs)

how reliable they are? Any specific model you can recommend?
The Chinese ones are known to have quite a few problems. Maybe with very light use you'll be ok. Definitely buy new if you buy Chinese. At least you'll have some kind of warranty. The Chinese ones are all pretty much the same - just have different cosmetics.

The Honda Lead is made in Japan and is very popular. You don't see many Yamaha pasolas, but they're good, too. The PGO T-Rex is made in Taiwan. Both are of a much higher quality and more reliable than the Chinese ones. I'd recommend those two if you buy used.
