Yesterday the remaining shares of Air Europa was sold to Iberia. In a few weeks the Air Europa name will be completely integrated to Iberia. Now the only flights to Spain from SDQ will be through Iberia or you’re not going to Spain from the Dominican capital. Expect those ticket prices to increase.

IAG agrees to buy 80% stake in Air Europa for 400 mln euros
Iberia-owner International Airlines Group has agreed to pay 400 million euros ($423.84 million) to Spain's Globalia for the remaining 80% of airline Air Europa it did not already own, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
