Since last week-end, CNN ( the US version) channel#50 has been replaced by the international version normally seen on channel #47.So now programming for #47 is also on #50. I've called and they are "working on it" but it takes a whole week? Is anyone else bothered by this glitch?

The foreign channels get mixed up or dropped or go silent or switch from NY to Miami or to the TRI-STATE-AREA (!!) etc. I tell the cable co. They work on it. I just roll with it to remain sane.

The feed they use is the one who switches what is on a channel. The local cable folks have no control over it.

When you are not actually paying to re-broadcast the channels, they have little say as to what is available to them.

For those frustrated with the very low quality of local Cable TV, there is a thread on DR1 which has better options for such people.

Both CNN english channels HAVE been disappearing and returning a lot lately. Often I’ll check FOX news which doesn’t disappear. Or BBC or French news in English. There’s a CNN spanish channel I don’t watch. I love the variety!

I gotta tell ya, I was in a hotel in Puerto Plata not long ago and could not believe how bad the cable TV was.

The reception of CNN with Cable del Norte here on the North Coast is currently terrible. It's unwatchable. I get sound only with the BBC, so it's France 24 or Al Jazeera for me.
