Cancelled Flights

Lots of cancellations over the weekend.

I am booked the 27th to fly back - the flight on the 25th was cancelled, today's (26th) flew.

Fingers crossed for United tomorrow.... sing a song , 'Show Me the Way to Go Home'......

I'll be checking in the AM for the cancel notice - if they put it up in time
Anybody know when they announce it ? What advance notice you get ?

Trying to get my unvaccinated mother in law back home to the DR before the virus gets her.

Have a reservation for Sat thinking New Years might be a good time to fly.
i was worried that if she tests positive they would not let her fly.
Family says no negative test, no vaccine required to fly to DR.

Anyone know if this is true.?

No impediments to entering the DR by plane. Possibly selected at random for a test at the airport here. If coming from Canada, vaccine needed to get on any plane going anywhere. If from the USA, there are newish rules but I don't know what they are.

Today Westjet announced that they are cutting 15% of thier flights. They have not said what flights they are cutting at this time.
I never thought that the common cold (Omicron) could cause such havoc.
