Anyone know the exact HEIGHT of those Low Cross Beams ??

Do they intend on having the Clearance Posted , like they do here in US .. like 13' 6" is standard MIN for Trucks . ( they are actually 14' which allows a 6" final Buffer )
This could get real ugly if even an Empty Cement truck comes through.

I saw a small van with an empty luggage rack on top just in front of me barely clear.
If it were stacked with bags or something else another 8" it would have hit.
Imagine that metal barrier getting knocked loose and coming through the windshield.
Be watchful and I expect at night some one won't see it.

I assume they are 8 feet high, a Transit bus if powered by Diesel needs 11' clearance, a CNG 14' the tanks are on top, if an electric or Hybrid same as CNG as the batteries and trans cooler are on top.

Wow...just came back a few weeks ago after many years away, and I see there are still those occasional folks who suffer from arrested development. Just like years ago.

When it comes to inquiring about a major transport highway bridge that thousands of people use daily, that is a vital link to the common good for people and commerce for this section of the north coast, then a serious question asking of it's updated status should be replied to if the poster knows the situation, straight up with no chaser. Not playing cutesy semantics games or claiming "sarcasm" when answering just to draw attention to yourself.

I have an interest in that bridge being reopened as I plan to pay a visit to the malecon a few times, as it's a favorite place of mine to enjoy an afternoon. I can imagine the business that was lost in these recent days for those casitas since the bridge was closed or severely restricted, for those who enjoy an outing from Sosua or Cabarete to the "Big Town" but not wanting it to take a couple hours through a detour, to get there and back.

Nice of the mods to "take out the trash".

I think the cement trucks would not be so dumb, but there are plenty of box food truck plus furniture and appliance delivery and make no mistake within two months it will happen, because Dominican drivers think laws are only for suckers

All shapes, sizes, and kinds of trucks have been crossing that bridge for the last.. oh what, 50 years or so, without so much as a scratch on a roof up til now.

Looking at YouTube it says May 14th from what I can see...

I was just through there yesterday (both ways), and I did see that or something similar.

A lower (temporary?) beam installed on both ends of the bridge.

Those new rumble buttons glued on each side of the bridge are maximum vibration. Woe to those who do not slow. They are the same size as the ones placed entering Jumbo - if not larger but wider spread.
Some of those Hondas lowered with front spoilers are going to be in for a shock, and may not be able to angle across .

A guy could almost make a living picking up bolts and washers that get rattled off cars going over the bridge now

It would have been better in my opinion to have pipes installed horizontally divided in the middle & swinging from chains. Say a 3" steel pipe suspended every 2' from 1 inch chains so that it would make a very loud bang and likely dent a delivery truck but put no stress the bridge if hit.
Of course a dump truck might just say heck with it - but I fear if a heavy truck impacts that temporary high-limit restrictor it will break free and damage a moto of oncoming car.
I doubt it would seriously damage the bridge but it would not help
