Be interesting to know what land is holding it up. Since it's a bridge replacement it would seem they would already have all of the easement and land rights from before assuming they do that in the DR. It's not like there are any buildings right on the river and the new bridge design didn't make it seem like it would be that much wider that buildings would need to come down but perhaps they do need some more space. But in any case that certainly should have been take care of before construction started.
Although this is the DR and sometimes what makes sense doesn't happen
Perhaps it's all an excuse because they know there is no possibility this bridge will get completed in the proposed time frame so they throw out a "land dispute" as the reason for the delays.
So what get's completed first
A. The bridge
B. The plazas at Playa Sosua
C. The new hospital
D. Delay upon delay won't see any of them completed anytime soon.
I know what my answer is.
But I am not a DR1 "expert" and have no inside information either.
