It would be hard to see from a bus ride since they don't go close to the site.Didn't notice nothing new.

Not much point is asking him if there is any work on the bridge then.It would be hard to see from a bus ride since they don't go close to the site.
Correct,It would be hard to see from a bus ride since they don't go close to the site.
And that surprises no one. Imagine those predicting it would be open by December 2023Correct,
On a daily basis it is zero fun in Montellano with detour traffic clogging narrow streets and huge traffic volume.
Have to be lucky to hit low volume, like Sunday morning.
Still zero urgency or professionalism on replacing the small Cangrejos bridge.
Thanks gob.do
I've had to make several trips to Pto. Plata lately and I was returning late afternoon to Cabarete. Maybe I was just lucky, but I didn't have any problem at all. The detour adds about an extra 10 minutes compared to when the bridge was there.I am planning what will be the best hour for Monday trip detour crossing way back to Sosua, if I get a loaner SUV here I. Santiago I will be fine if not Will have to take the bus again.

I did not ask him. I asked in the thread if any work has started. Not much point is asking him if there is any work on the bridge then.
The worst bottleneck is the part from the Montellano rotunda to the new Rio Camu bridge.I got lucky, a hour after I passed through a 30 Wheeler loaded of rebars rolled over blocking the road. Major traffic jam right now.
I got a phone call from someone I was expecting to complete a construction job for.

Stop bitching, Welcome to Paradise!!The worst bottleneck is the part from the Montellano rotunda to the new Rio Camu bridge.
Very narrow and then vehicles and motores parked along the way.
The road is not made for heavy trucks and large vehicles.
All coast traffic has to pass through there.
That bridge was amazingly build in an efficient manner.
Yet the small Rio Camu Cangrejos bridge on the only coastal Highway after 1.5 years is still not existing.
Pathetic government underperformance, it is obvious they don't care and have zero accountability or professionalism.
No care about Dominicans and North Coast tourism.
it looks like part of the old bridge is still in the river.. zoom in..The newest satellite image show the now gone Cangrejo Bridge, but that photo is from May 2023. They should be updating soon.
