You heard the man, the moment it's done, let er' rip.Tomorrow it is then.
Or will it be "manana"?
Unless Willy wants to have his own inauguration.

Fun to watch..And Paliza just showed up to receive it. He said as soon as it's ready, open it for traffic. Don't wait for the President. LOL
I hope Chico Bill can represent me at the inauguration.

Lots of rain this morning in Sosua. Lucky that there is time left. That was a nice video, I saw a expansion joint at 1min 15sec-18sec. We don't worry about frost heave, but heat expansion is common here.Asphalt is happening today. With that, the bridge is finished with 2 days to spare. Great job.
Who is Paliza?I LOVE the typical Dominican answer. Paliza asks at 3:35, so when is the bridge ready? The answer he gets is "Ahorita"
The Sabaneta side of the bridge belongs to Sosua.I can't find the municipality that Sabaneta de Congrejo belongs to.
Assistant to the President of the DRWho is Paliza?

Isn’t the paving supposed to level out the dip? I thought Chico referenced that in a previous post? That "Dip" is going to drive me nuts every time I see it.
Paving won't fix the dip in the guard rail. lolIsn’t the paving supposed to level out the dip? I thought Chico referenced that in a previous post?
Actually I was surprised at the height of the guardrail. It appears to be a lot lower than the ones on North American bridges. In the video it appears to be much lower than the waistline of the workers on the bridge.Paving won't fix the dip in the guard rail. lol
I think the camber in the beams is what makes it look like a dip. That "Dip" is going to drive me nuts every time I see it.
Ditto. My boys now have a Christmas break from school, so I don't have to go through to the "other side" until after the holidays. Soooo, it can open anytime before Jan 8th and I'm happy.I think the camber in the beams is what makes it look like a dip.
All I care that it opens and the water doesn't pond on top and we can go to Puerto Plata without winding through Montellano another year
